The console can be described as being very stylish and quite sleek, making it a perfect accessory to any contemporary living or games room. This is also slim as it's name alludes to, especially when compared to the other bulkier PS3 versions and the Xbox 360.
One of the main reasons why people avoided buying PS3 was its cost. The newest PS3 Slim by Sony is not only slim in size but also in price. With the prices down by almost $100, PS3 Slim is much more reasonable than the older PS3. However, not much has changed except the cost. All the major features of PS3 have been retained in PS3 Slim.
The issue of power consumption has been adequately addressed by Sony by employing 45 nm manufacturing process, which reduces power consumption by 36%. The company has been slowly phasing out PS3 by taking away its features one by one.
