What the color of your casino chips might say about you
Some people approach the casino tables haphazardly: they sit down and accept whichever chips the dealer pushes their way. Others are more intentional in their approach and request a chip color that feels the most natural to them. Many dealers, in fact, will ask players what their color preference is before they even trade the cash for casino currency. The fact is that most people have subconscious, but very strong, color associations that can provide some subtle and deceptively powerful clues about their disposition and even how they might bet at any given point in the game.
Personality types tend to be divided into four major color categories: blue, yellow, green and red.
Blue Personality: Analyzer
Blue people love order in their lives: they thrive on attending to the minutiae of everyday asks. They love stability and constants, and detest too many variables. Blue people value precision, analysis, discipline and orderliness. Ideally, they want situations where the outcome of a task can be safely predicted before its actual execution. This is also one of their primary weaknesses: they can become so bogged down in the details of things that they can fail to see the bigger picture. Blues want things to be done the "right" way in every way. At the casino, most Blues will have a pre-defined betting system in place before they even put any money down. Blues will look at a combination of strategy and careful techniques to maximize their advantages.
Yellow Personality: Performer
Yellows are extroverts. They love challenging anything and everything that smacks of institutions, rules, and one-size-fits-all ways of doing things. Yellows love sharing new ideas and thoughts. They tend to be the innovators of the world. Yellows are loud optimists who tend to make very good first impressions. At the same time, however, they will tend to talk too much to the detriment of those who genuinely need them to listen. At the casino, you can always tell a yellow player because they'll be the centre of attention. Chances are you'll hear them even before you see them. Yellows will see a positive spin in every roulette wheel, a chance of fortune in every dice roll. No matter how much you beat them down, a strong yellow personality will get back up again.
Green Personality: Supporter
The Greens are the peacemakers amongst us. Greens thrive on unity and peace. They enjoy exploring new ways of doing things but only insofar as it benefits everyone. Greens do not want a single person left out or in second place. Greens tend to have a rich imagination, and derive their inspirations from traversing the many depths and heights of their imaginative faculties. Greens are supportive and loyal. They categorically hate conflict, resist change, and tend to be overly lenient with others even when it's not called for. At the casino table you can easily spot a green because they'll be the ones feeling pity for the guy who just lost his bet on a bad hand. But they'll just easily rejoice with the man who won his fortune, It's this ability to truly empathize with others that sets Greens apart.
Red Personality: Leader
Reds tend to thrive on conflict. They love logic, practicality and tend to naturally dominate. Reds are natural leaders: they can easily get a crowd to follow them. Reds appreciate fast solutions, immediate results and large-scale challenges. Red's hate routine: they love fast-paced results, quick thinking individuals, and measurable time periods for projects. Of course, Reds have their weaknesses. They can become easily intolerant and insensitive of others, impatient, and even belligerent at times. At the casino, the red personality is probably the highly strung lady who's shouting at the dealer for not answering her the first time. Red's will neither accept nor admit defeat willingly or easily. Watch out!
