The Academy Awards ceremony is an anticipated red carpet event that many wait for each year. While the celebrities are out putting on the dog, it only makes sense to plan a party of your own. Pull your favorite recipes out, hang up some sparkly decorations, and invite your star-gazing friends over for a night of excitement.

OSCAR PARTY INVITATIONS - The invitation you send out should be impressive. Create a large gold or silver Hollywood star. You could cover one side with glitter and put all of your party details on the reverse side.

Another star option would be to create a huge Hollywood star out of gold or silver poster board. Add your guest's name on one side of the star and the party details on the reverse. Be sure to tell your guests that it's time they walk the red carpet in their finest clothing with cameras flashing all around them. This is the perfect party for your guests to break out their tuxedos and formal attire. For a fun twist, you could have your guests dress as their favorite celeb.

Another invite option is to create an invitation that looks like a movie ticket and has the location, date and time of your award-winning event.

OSCAR PARTY LOCATIONS - For the venue, your own home would be the best idea. However, if you have a small home and plan on having a lot of guests, you will need to find a location that is more suitable. You could rent the local community center, a tea room, or even a hotel ballroom. If you do not have many guests, you could always rent a restaurant meeting room or a cute hotel suite.
